August 12th, 2026 - Solar Eclipses, Perseids, and Planet Parade
An Analysis of the Solar Eclipse over Greenland, Spain and related astronomical Signs in Heaven
Introduction
The third book of The Signs in Heaven Series is The Signs of Jonah. Below is an infographic from the book that shows the analysis of the three solar eclipses in 2017, 2023, and 2024. The three North American solar eclipses each highlighted a compelling Mazzaroth sign:
2017 - The star Regulus in the Lion, the heart of the Lion (Daniel 7’s first beast),
2023 - The star Spica, the Seed of the Woman (Genesis 3:15), and
2024 - the cord between Cetus, the Beast of the Sea (Revelation 13), and Pisces, representing the saints, those that follow the commands of Jesus Christ (Revelation 12).
“My Google Map” plots the locations of each significant geographic marker (e.g., Salem, Nineveh, Jonah, Joppa, and crosses).
The Signs of Jonah book also analyzes the Alef-Tav, the sea monster, the clay tablets, the evil and adulterous generation, and the overall timeline of Signs in Heaven.

Now we are approaching another series of solar eclipses starting with the August 12th, 2026 solar eclipse, another in 2027, and one in 2034.
Solar Eclipse of the Century
The headlines are highlighting the significance of this 2026 solar eclipse,
For the first time in more than a century, a total solar eclipse is coming to mainland Spain with an even longer encore next summer. [This is referring to the 2027 total solar eclipse which will be covered later in this article by taking an excerpt from The Signs of Jonah]
Toss in a crescendoing meteor shower [from Perseus] and a six-planet parade on the same day [technically it will be difficult to spot all six planets - to be explained], and the heavens will be overflowing with awe. [Yes - this I would agree with]1
First, let’s take a look at this solar eclipse, and then we’ll review the meteor shower and the planet parade.
The following screenshot is the World Atlas of Solar Eclipse Maps 2021 to 2040, which focuses on Europe and the Middle East. The purple path in the top-left, starting in Greenland and Iceland and ending across Spain, is the August 12th, 2026 total solar eclipse.
Notice also the August 2nd, 2027 and March 20th, 2034 purple total solar eclipses that intersect over the Red Sea. At the end of the article, an analysis will be included from The Signs of Jonah on these two total solar eclipses, which mark the Old Testament story of Moses.

Highlighted below is the total solar eclipse on August 12th, 2026, which will last 2 minutes and 18 seconds. It will be relatively shorter than the August 2nd, 2027 total solar eclipse two rows below, which will last 6 minutes and 23 seconds. The March 20th, 2034 total solar eclipse will last 4 minutes and 9 seconds.

Four Visible Planets and The Bright and Morning Star
The August 12th, 2026 total solar eclipse is positioned right before Leo the Lion.
Note that 4 planets may be visible during the solar eclipse; however, probably only in Greenland. Not six planets as advertised. Jupiter will be closest to the Eclipse in the neighboring constellation of Cancer, while Mercury will be close behind. However, from Spain, the horizon may cover these planets for observers.
For a Greenland observer on August 12th, 2026, the total solar eclipse will occur between Venus and Jupiter. The span from Venus to Mars is ~95 degrees, which is about 25% of the total observable firmament. The image below shows the Western horizon during the solar eclipse, with four planets aligned: Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, and Mars.
The screenshot below shows the same planets set in their constellations. Note that Mars on the right doesn’t appear in the screenshot below, but it would be on the far right near Gemini.
Venus, the bright and morning star, is near Virgo, the Seed of the Woman. The single planet in Virgo may not seem significant; however, in the grand scheme of history, it serves as a reminder of Genesis 3:15 and the Protoevangelium. This is the repeating sign found during 4004 BC, 2349 BC, 3 BC, 2017 AD, and 2040 AD, marking Creation, the Flood, the Birth of Jesus, Revelation 12, and the Golden Conjunction. Three Great Signs of the Virgin and Lion over 4000 Years?
In this investigation we’ll be looking at three signs that involve Virgo the virgin and Leo the lion. These three signs span 4000+ years from Noah to the baby Jesus to Revelation 12. So let’s get ready for an end-to-end story of God’s plan for man’s salvation and look at the variations between each sign.
The Eclipse and His Star
For a Greenland observer on August 12th, 2026, during the solar eclipse, darkness like a sackcloth will descend upon the firmament, revealing the stars and planets. Jupiter, “His Star”, and Mercury are in Cancer, the holding place, the sheepfold. This also reminds me of The Covenant Signs, when five planets gathered in Cancer during the time of young King David, when he was Saul's armor bearer. This grouping of five planets was the third grouping found in the Bamboo Annals rescued from a tomb. You can listen or read more from The Covenant Signs.
Jesus Strikes the Head of the Serpent
For a Greenland observer on August 12th, 2026, during the solar eclipse, Mars, denoting war, is at the left heel of Castor, the Ruling Judge. This reminds us of The Signs of Immanuel when Gemini, the two lampstands, the two olive trees, are prominent Signs in Heaven during Passion Week.
24-Hour Sun
In Greenland, the sun remains low in the sky during this time of year. Note that the 24-hour sun is from late May to late July. Note the very low ecliptic of the sun’s circuit below along the edge of the visible firmament.
What is also observable during the solar eclipse in Greenland will be the constellations directly above in the firmament. Notice the row of constellations from left to right which mirror the four beasts of Daniel 7.
Leo - the lion with wings
Ursa Major - the beast like a bear
Draco - we’ll be studying this constellation as a potential fourth beast
Cygnus, Lyra, and Hercules - to round out the third beast correlation of the Panther and next week a lesser known constellation of Cerberus from Greek Mythology.
Complete Planet Alignment ~180 Degrees
Back to August 12th, 2026, Uranus is in Taurus and would be too far for the naked eye to see. Saturn and Neptune are closer to Pisces and Cetus and below the horizon. The total distance from Venus to Neptune is approximately 180 degrees, as shown below by the blue text highlighting the blue measuring ruler. Therefore, the parade of six planets is a long stretch. At most, four planets will be visible, depending on the viewer's location and weather conditions.
The following shows the 180-degree span between Cetus and Virgo. However, logically, on August 12th, the sun is out when this alignment occurs; therefore, none of the planets would be visible during daylight until the total solar eclipse.
August 12th-17th, 2026 - 4 Planets Will Be Visible
To recap, here is an analysis from August 12th to 17th, 2026. On the morning of August 12th, 2026, at ~4:30 AM PST, one would need to get up right before sunrise to see:
Jupiter in Cancer
Mercury in Cancer
Mars near Orion between Gemini and Taurus
Uranus in Taurus would not be visible with the naked eye.
Saturn is in Pisces
Neptune is also in Pisces at the tail of Cetus, which would not be visible with the naked eye
Venus, typically the brightest star, is below the horizon near Virgo and not visible
Only a total of four planets will be visible on a clear early morning before sunrise.
For the millions traveling to Spain for the total solar eclipse on August 12th, 2026, notice that below, there is no way to see all five naked-eye planets, as the sun would be in the sky; even during the total solar eclipse from Spain, the sun and moon will be low in the sky, and Jupiter and Mercury would be almost below the horizon. Saturn would be far below the horizon. Only Venus in Virgo will be visible.
Perseids
In Greenland, due to the 24-hour sun, it will be difficult to spot the Perseid meteor showers.
However, from North America and Europe, the Perseids are best viewed on a clear night after sunset. Look North as Perseus rises, revolving around the pole star Polaris, in Ursa Minor.
Perseus is fully equipped with the Full Armor of God and holds the decapitated head of the demon in his left hand. Perseus is used as an illustration of how one should battle against the Four Horsemen of Revelation 6 in The Signs of the Four Horsemen.
The Perseids will peak at 100 ZHR or meteors per hour. August 13th, 2026 is the peak of the Perseids meteor shower, the day after the Solar Eclipse.
Middle Eastern Total Solar Eclipses 2027 & 2034
Approximately 356 days after the August 12th, 2026 total solar eclipse, there is another total solar eclipse on August 2nd, 2027, which also passes over southern Spain. Note that one prophetic year is 360 days.
The following is from The Signs of Jonah,
In Chapter 20. The Number 40: 2027 and 2034 Total Solar Eclipses are analyzed. Note below the two eclipses cross, forming an “X”; it marks the spot. This is also a Hebrew letter tav.
Tav denotes the Blood Covenant. The two eclipses will be on August 2nd, 2027, and March 20th, 2034. Between the last Great American Solar Eclipse on April 8th, 2024, and the first on August 2nd, 2027, there are 1211 days, which is just over 40 months. The calculations are shown below using 30 days/month, the Prophetic Month.
4/8/2024 to 8/2/2027 = 1211 days
1211 days / 30 days per month = 40.4 months
8/2/2027 - 3/20/2034 = 2422 days
2422 days / 30 days per month = 80.7 months
So just as Jonah gave Nineveh 40 days to repent or be overthrown, is this a similar type of judgment? A large Paleo-Hebrew Tav, the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, is marked in geographic proximity to the Red Sea. The intersection of the two eclipses will be due south of Jerusalem and south of Mt Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments and where the Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years (Exodus 15:22 - Numbers 22:1; 33:1-49).
Note that the two solar eclipses form a Tav, or a Blood Covenant, placed over the area where the Hebrews set up their Temple in the wilderness to give burnt offerings to YHWH from the 12 tribes of Judah after the Exodus from Egypt.
2027 and 2034 Total Solar Eclipses over Red Sea

The 2027 solar eclipse is in the Mazzaroth constellation of Cancer, interpreted as a sheepfold meaning “His Possessions Held Secure - Christ the Protector”. The 2034 solar eclipse is in the constellation Pisces, meaning “Deliverance Out of Bondage - Christ the Liberator”. The lower fish where the eclipse is located is the star Alsamaca, the upheld.
