Introduction

This study will look at the Revelation 12 signs in heaven with the pregnant woman (Mary symbolizing Israel) who gives birth to the male child (Jesus Christ). Then Satan (the dragon) who deceives the world and wages war on earth to destroy after 1260 days of “peace” in Israel (the woman) and makes war against the children of the woman who follow Jesus Christ (the Church).

This study series will also build a 2017 to 2021 timeline ending with the current global totalitarian events and crimes against humanity. The goal is to help Christians be prepared in this season and keep watch.

Revelation 12:1-2 Sign

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and she was pregnant and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth. Revelation 12:1-2 (source: NASB2020)

It is believed that the Revelation 12 sign came and went on September 23rd, 2017 and was visible briefly over Israel. Through an astronomy software program called Stelarium, Starry Night, and various mobile star apps, watchmen carefully followed the formation of this conjunction of stars and planets. Without this software it would never be possible to find this sign in the heavens which was discovered by Scottie Clarke. The Revelation 12 sign is covered at ~49 minutes into this documentary:

What I find fascinating about this sign is the crown of 12 stars upon her head. Typically there are only 9 stars in the constellation Leo but during this period Mercury, Mars, and Venus join the 9 stars to form 12 stars in the crown over the woman.

Also what I find fascinating is that the woman was pregnant with child. Jupiter which represents the child is in retrograde motion in the woman’s womb. If you zoom in, you will find that this occurs for ~9+ months before giving birth.

There are some that argue that this was not a unique event however Gary from Unsealed.org does an extensive analysis to make the claim that this arrangement was unique in history. During this time many were wondering if it was a sign for the upcoming rapture or something significant to occur in Israel. Others criticized it as a fluke and that we should not be looking to the stars. True we should not be looking at Astrology which follows zodiac signs. However, we know that the Lord told us to look for signs in the heaven from the perspective of Astronomical signs.

In summary, the significance of the Revelation 12 sign may be the rapture of the Church, the beginning of the cosmic war in Heaven, and God's redemptive focus returning to Israel and the Jews (Micah 5:3). (2017, The Revelation 12 Sign Compendium)

Looking back on this historical event it seems that this was the beginning of the cosmic war in Heaven and God’s redemptive focus on Israel. Furthermore in Revelation 12 there is another sign and that was found and described in the next blog.
